Today is Sunday at the Winkie Convention, which is always kind of sad, as it's a short day, it's over, and I won't be back for another year. Oh, well. Last night we got announcements of two awards. The Oz Club's highest award, the L. Frank Baum Memorial Award, went to movie Munchkin coroner Meinhardt Raabe. And the Winkie Award went to David Maxine. We also had a great speech and Q-&-A with Michael Buckley, the author of the Sisters Grimm series. He slips in lots of Oz references in the books. I got all of my copies signed, too.

Note to self: Bring money! The auction had some great bargains!
