Oz in Jeopardy! Big time!

It's been many years since they've done it, but on Thursday's episode of Jeopardy! this week, they had an entire category devoted to Oz. It was part of a theme board in Double Jeopardy! with categories HBO, "Big" Love, Extras, Rome, Oz, and Six Feet Under. When Jeopardy! does a theme board like this, the actual clues don't generally go with what you expect the theme to be. So long before a clue was uncovered in that category, I was fully expecting to see something about Oz the country, not Oz the hard-hitting prison drama. Sure enough, it was an entire category devoted to The Movie (although there was a clue about the show in the HBO category).

So here's the set-up: The three players were defending champion Louis on the left, challenger John in the middle, and eventual winner Donna on the right. They hit them all in order.

Donna started it with Oz for $400:

Louis rang in first and correctly asked, "What is 1939?" The game moved on to other categories, but then Donna came back and asked for OZ for $800:

Donna rang in and correctly responded, "What is 'Over the Rainbow'?" She next picked Oz for $1200:

John rang in and gave a correct response of, "What are Ruby Slippers?" He then chose Oz for $1600:

Louis got in first and asked, "What is the Tin Man?" He wrapped up the category by choosing Oz for $2000:

Nobody rang in, and Alex told them, "Oh, you're going to hate yourselves! He played the Wizard! Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"

Now, if I do make it onto the show this coming season (this is my third time in the contestant pool), maybe I'll get a category about the books...
