Today's Oz Comic
In today's Bound and Gagged, Dorothy stumbles across one of the Munchkins' secrets. Hmm, shades of this old Fedex Super Bowl ad:

Okay, Super Bowl is done for me
It's not even halftime yet, but I don't need to watch any more of the game now, as I've already seen this:

Something to Look Forward to Sunday
Not interested in rooting for the '49ers or the Ravens on Sunday? Well, you may want to watch the big game anyway! It looks like there's going to be a spot for Oz the Great and Powerful! There's even a preview for the spot right here!

And now for a word from our sponsor...
I've been hoping one of these would turn up somewhere, and now one's available on YouTube at last. There were a whole bunch of Oz-themed commercials for Crispy Wheats 'n' Raisins back in the day. They didn't make a lot of sense to a diehard Oz fan like me, of course, because the Scarecrow and Tin woodman were eating them. Dorothy, by the way, was played by Geri Reischel, who is better known as Jan Brady. "Wait," I can hear you ask, "did Eve Plumb play Jan?" Not on the variety show! Plumb (wisely) decided not to do that version of the show, so Reischel became the new Jan.

And now for a word from our sponsor: Super Bowl XLIII edition
Since Arizona is in the same division as the Seahawks, and Pittsburgh was handed the game on a silver platter when they played the Seahawks in the big game three years ago, I had absolutely no interest in the game itself this year. The only reason I'd want to watch was for this ad — which wasn't reason enough, so I didn't watch. Thank goodness for YouTube.

"And now for a word from our sponsor..."
Jared over at The Royal Blog of Oz found this great old ad for the Mego Wizard of Oz toys and put it up. I just had to do the same! Enjoy.

Whoever put together this ad sure did their research into the history and development of a certain famous pair of shoes!
