Today's Oz Comics

We have one definitely Ozzy and one marginally Ozzy comic today, plus a new collection published as a book!

  • Today in Pop Culture Shock Therapy, that long-awaited MGM-Disney crossover that movie fans in the late 1930s probably never knew they wanted. But probably not in this way!
  • Meanwhile, over in The Wizard of Id, three witches are out flying on their brooms when something Ozzy happens to them. This is the one I'm not strictly sure is an Oz comic, but it's close enough for me, and I'm including it here.
  • And finally, the collected edition of Cheshire Crossing is now available. This is a story about Dorothy Gale, Alice Liddell (of Wonderland fame), and Wendy Darling (from Peter Pan) all meeting up and having adventures. It's been available as a web comic for some time now, but this is its first publication as a book. It seems Cheshire Crossing creator Andy Weir (yes, that Andy Weir) was never satisfied with the art, so this version is newly illustrated by Sarah Anderson. It's only the original four issues of the webcomic, there's nothing new, but apparently it also hints that there could be more if this sells well, so I urge Oz fans everywhere to get it, if they are so inclined.
