Oz in Jeopardy!

On the September 28 show, in the category From Page to Musical, this was the $200 clue in the Jeopardy! round:

Matt, the defending champion, rang in first and correctly responded with, "What is The Wiz?" He was such a dominant player that he went on to win the game (and the next eleven as well; don't worry, we'll be hearing from him again before long).

But I have a bone to pick with this clue. It implies that The Wiz was the first musical adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to play Broadway, when it was, in fact, preceded seventy-two years earlier by the first dramatic adaptation of Oz, the 1902 extravaganza The Wizard of Oz. Still,it's not worth making a fuss about, and the clue is ambiguous on the point.
