Some comics editor out there must have found out that today is my birthday. Because there are not one, but two celebratory Oz-themed comics today. And they came one right after another in my feed as well.
- First in Eek!, I think the Scarecrow may be on to something here. Then again, I look at my students using their smartphones for the most routine things that require very little thought, all while being distracted from the learning they are actually in school for.
- And in The Flying McCoys, we see into the hazards of going to the grocery store in our modern age of awareness. (Hey, what's the Cowardly Lion doing there? That part of The Movie was what led to the rest of the gang meeting him in the first place.)
