We had well over eight hundred trick-or-treaters visit us tonight (we're in that popular of a neighborhood), and possibly even more than nine hundred. Of those, we had three Dorothys, one of which was accompanied by a Wicked Witch of the West and a Glinda. I gave the Oz costumes two pieces of candy each.
Next year, I am seriously buying about a dozen copies of the Dover Thrift edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and giving a copy to anyone wearing an Oz costume.

My little girl (1 1/2 years old) was Dorothy - Toto and all - but it was too cold here on the East coast after the snow storm for her to wear it outside. She had a lot of fun though visiting nursing homes and malls over the last week!
