My FAQ is updated at last!

One of my major projects I wanted to take care of this summer was to update the FAQ on my website. (Um, you have all seen my website, at thewizardofoz.info, right?) Well, tonight, I think I've finally got it to the point where I want to show it off.

But first, some explanation. After seeing what my wife has done with the wiki format, and thinking things over, I decided to try converting the FAQ to a wiki format. This has several advantages, the top one being that it is a lot easier and faster to make changes. So now, instead of updating it only when I have long stretches of time (which is becoming increasingly rare), I can do it all on the fly whenever I feel like it. Not only that, I can even allow others to make changes if I allow them. (No, this will not be like Wikipedia, where anyone can just jump in and change things to whatever they like. I do have standards, after all.) And I've found that wiki formatting is a lot simpler than HTML, too. So I think, in general, this new way of doing my FAQ is going to be a good move for everybody.

I do have a long way to go, of course. So far, none of the pictures have made it in yet, and I have a few more questions to add and a few answers to update still. But I decided to give the new FAQ its public debut tonight, because the basics are there. All of the questions from the last FAQ are there, with updated answers. So go take a look at it, at thewizardofoz.info/wiki/Oz_FAQ. Then keep coming back and see what else I've added to it.

Good stuff! My favourite part is the "There's no place like the homepage" link!

Aww, thanks. I've always been proud of that one. It's been part of my website from the very beginning (way back in 1996, can you believe it?), and I believe I was the first to do it. Others have copied the idea since then, of course, and some have even copied my graphic...

Your Oz FAQ has long been a terrific achievement, and it's nice to see the latest generation. Congratulations!
