Yes, I have a book to recommend to you today. And it's not an Oz or related book. But it's Ozzy enough, and has enough Oz references, that I think Oz fans will enjoy it. It's Imaginalis by J. M. DeMatteis, it came out earlier this year, and I just read it last week. Imaginalis is the magic land in a series of books (sound familiar so far?) — but what happens when the series ends before the rest of the story is told? (Those of you familiar with DeMatteis's work, yes, this was totally inspired by what happened with Abadazad.) It turns out that the Imaginalins are trapped in limbo, and only the belief of a huge Imaginalis fan in our world can save them. Like I said, lots of Oz references — there's even a dog named Ozma! — and a story that I think Oz fans will get a kick out of. The whole thing reminded me more of The Neverending Story (the book, not the movie series), but that's certainly not a bad thing. So, if you're intrigued, here's the information at Amazon. I would be grateful, of course, if you ordered a copy through this link, as they'll send a few pennies my way, but I certainly understand if you want to get it elsewhere or find it at your library instead.
