I think Oconomowoc might be a brother of Gwomokolotokint, the owl in the Volkov Oz books.
Whoops! I guess I still had the anniversary of the movie still on my mind. (And it was, what, something like 4:00 in the morning when I put that up.) I've fixed it now.
