Here's a comic I never expected to see an Oz reference in: Tank McNamara. But take a look at today's strip and tell me what you think. This is a storyline about college conference shake-ups and realignments, to put it into perspective. I doubt that the mascot of Insecure State University is a deliberate homage to the folks who live in the west part of Oz, but it's good enough for me. (I first saw this in black and white, but the ISU color scheme in the color version makes this an even stronger Oz reference.)
