Just a quick note: Entertainment Weekly just put out a list of the top one hundred characters of the last twenty years. My, that actually covers a lot of territory. Coming in at #79? Elphaba from Wicked. "Oh," I thought, "she's probably the only character from a Broadway musical on the list" — only to find Mimi Marquez from Rent two spots later. Oh, well.
